My alarm didn't ring

A few things to check:

Make sure RemindMe is allowed to set alarms. If you said no when RemindMe first asked, you can turn it back on in your iPhone's Settings app, under RemindMe.
Check that the task has a due date and time, and at least one reminder set. A task with no reminder won't ring.
Check your iPhone's alarm volume in the Settings app, under Sounds & Haptics.
Don't lock or hide RemindMe itself. iPhone lets you lock or hide individual apps (by pressing and holding the app's icon). If RemindMe is locked or hidden this way, its alarms may not ring. This is different from your iPhone's Lock Screen: RemindMe's alarms ring even when your iPhone is locked.

No. There's nothing to sign up for. Just open RemindMe and start adding tasks. Your tasks stay on your iPhone.
